School-based Education & Prevention

School-based education & prevention programs

Schools are an ideal location for our work to build on, due to the potential to reach a large number of children with information and instructions, ultimately instilling sustainable healthy habits. Our school-based education & prevention model is not about charity, but about transforming the way low-income children perceive oral health and its importance in overall health and well-being.

Basic Oral Hygiene Curriculum is taught by teachers and/or fellows around basic dental care for early childhood and elementary classes. This program provides education on basic dental care and also distributes free dental kits (toothbrushes, toothpastes) to under privileged community schools.
